Teaching sculpture requires a commitment to developing an environment in which students can thrive critically and creatively.  To me, this means creating an open, inclusive environment that includes the tools needed to grow conceptually and through craft.  At Salisbury University, we have grown the sculpture area tremendously and students now work in an environment that contains dedicated workshops which allow students to create anything  physical that they can conceive of.
